Tommy Ray and Carolyn Lindsey Polk Scholarship for Design Excellence and Professional Development (Endowed)

The purpose of the Tommy Ray Polk Endowment for Design Excellence and Professional Advancement is to recognize and reward high achieving fifth-year architecture students in order to better prepare them for design roles in the profession and optimum firm placement. The endowment honors alumnus, Tommy Ray Polk, BARCH 1963, and his commitment to design excellence to the profession of architecture, and to mentoring of intern architects. Proceeds from the endowment will fund annually one or more recipients, selected from the fifth year professional architecture class, to assist the recipients in accepting and initiating professional internship.
